Tulsi Pujan Diwas (India) [25th of December]


Tulsi Pujan Diwas is celebrated on 25th December every year all over the world. Tulsi Pujan Diwas is popular among Hindus. This festival is organised by Shri Yog Vedant Seva Samiti.

Tulsi is widely used for medicinal and spiritual use. In Hinduism, it is considered very sacred and it is believed that worshiping Tulsi brings prosperity.

Method of celebration


  • Cultivate Tulsi plant at home and encourage others to do the same so that humanity can be benefited by the environment benefits of Tulsi.

  • Keep the Tulsi plant in a clean place and offer water to the plant. Then offer chandan or sindoor, rice, flowers and sacrament(holy food/Prasad). After that lit the Diya (lamp) and worship the plant.

  • Do Parikrama of Tulsi plant 7 times or 108 times and then do meditation for sometime.

  • Then do Pranayama near Tulsi plant and take benefit of the pure air around Tulsi which helps to increase power strength and Intellect.

  • Add Tulsi leaves in the holy food (Prasad) and distribute to everyone.

In this environment we must do God Prayer, recite God Name or Guru Mantra. Also we can do Bhajan, Kirtan, Satsang. It is good to sit till 12 midnight. Tulsi worshipping can be done where ever it is suitable or even you can go to nearby Ashram.
